40 kids, separated from their parents, and held in detention by our government, despite committing no crimes. Those were the cases I sat in on today in immigration court. Only 6 had lawyers – because the Trump administration cruelly cancelled the contract that provides attorneys to unaccompanied immigrant kids. The emergency is ongoing. Don’t look away.
